Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of pwwritings.com ("the site") and the books and services offered through it. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
PW Writings sells access to original literary works, either as a one-time purchase of an individual book or via a monthly subscription. The first few chapters of each book are free to read without an account or payment. Access to the remaining chapters requires either purchasing that specific book or an active subscription.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secret. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or attempt to abuse the service (including but not limited to: redistributing book content, scraping, or fraudulent payment activity).
3. Purchases
Buying a book gives you ongoing read access to that specific book from your account. Access begins at the moment of successful payment and does not expire — once you've bought a book, it stays in your library for you to read as often as you like.
4. Subscriptions
A monthly subscription gives you read access to every book in the catalogue for as long as the subscription is active. Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the price in effect when you signed up. You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access for what you already paid for.
5. Refunds
Purchases are refundable in full within 24 hours of purchase, no questions asked. After 24 hours, contact us and we'll consider the circumstances. Subscription payments are not refundable for the current period; cancel to stop future renewals.
6. Your rights as a reader
You can read any chapter you've paid to access on any device, as many times as you like — for books you've purchased, indefinitely; for subscription access, while your subscription is active. You may not redistribute, republish, sell, or share book content with anyone outside your household.
7. Our rights as the publisher
All book content remains the copyright of PW. Your access is a licence, not a transfer of ownership. We may withdraw books from the catalogue from time to time; if we withdraw a book you've purchased, we'll refund your purchase in full.
8. No warranty for content
Books are provided as-is. We make no warranty that any specific book will meet any specific reader's tastes, and we don't refund based on dislike of the content (subject to the 24-hour blanket refund window above).
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our maximum liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to active account-holders before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario unless a different forum is required by your local law.
